A unique tour of Colombia’s mythical heights

Want to cycle in the mountains where the Colombian “Escarabajos” grew up? Join our official Everesting tour as we take 11.000 meters of pure climbing over 8 days in the mountains of Colombia.

Come and test your strength where some of the Colombian cyclists have trained to be on the top of the bests in the world.

Cycle through the beautiful landscapes that the Central Andes Mountain range has to offer while you receive full support as if you were a pro; conquer one of the hardest climbs in theworld: Alto de Letras and end up in the coffee region, where one of the best coffees in theworld is produced.

All riders will receive an exclusive official Everesting kit. Benefit from professional support on every climb – our goal is that every rider achieves their goals for the day, you won’t have to worry about anything different than pedal your way up!

Letras and the Coffee region from Medellín

Welcome to Colombia! On this day we will gather at the hotel at 6:00 PM (local time) for our welcome dinner where you ́ll get to know your Colombian crew for the week and the rest of the group. We will share our road book with you and general details of each stage. You will stay at the 5* hotel Movich Las Lomas.

EAT: Welcome dinner

SLEEP: Movich Hotel Las Lomas

CYCLE: –

This will be a-“warm upride” point to point 70 kilometers ride-over 2.000 meters abovesea level. Today ́s highlights include La Unión climb (7,3 km, 370 m, 5,1% av) and someother hilly ascents along the road. You ́ll have the chance to pedal next to a great ColombianCyclist and remember with him some of the triumphs of his career.

After lunch we ́ll have a transfer towards Doradal and spend the night at the Hotel Arboreo,a beautiful modern hotel surrounded by nature.

SLEEP: Hotel Arbóreo – Doradal, Antioquia

CYCLE: Point to point ride, Eastern Antioquia Region, 70 km, 1.005 m

Even if it seems an easy flat ride: 107 km and only 540 m of elevation, our challenge today will be the heat and humidity. We will pedal along the Magdalena River between the central and east mountains of the Andes Range. Once at Honda, a small colonial and historical town of Colombia you´ll try some of the most exotic and unique fruits that this tropical country has to offer, you´ll have time to rest and relax before our queen stage next day.

SLEEP: Hotel Boutique Las Trampas – Honda, Tolima

CYCLE: 107 km, 540 m

Day 3 is going to be epic, from the tropic to the paramount you´ll be facing 100 km and 4.425 m of elevation gain in one of the longest paved climbs in the world. Letras has been the stage of a lot of national and international races, including UCI events.

Our day will start very early but after we conquer the stage you´ll be transfer to a beautiful hotel in the mountains with some hot springs for your recovery.

SLEEP: Hotel Termales la Cabaña – Manizales, Caldas

CYCLE: 100 km, 4.425 m, 4% av

Today we´ll start with a transfer to Chinchina, a small town close to Manizales, and then we´ll have a short ride to Filandia: our final basecamp of the trip. Only 60 km but with 1.530 m of elevation gain to arrive to our last hotel Casa Du Velo. Here you´ll receive a recovery massage and we´ll prepare for our 2 final stages among the coffee plantations.

SLEEP: Hotel Casa Du Velo – Filandia, Quindio

CYCLE: 60 km, 1.530 m

It´s time to taste the most awarded coffee of Colombia and to know how it´s produced and what it takes to produce a delicious cup of Colombian Coffee. From Filandia to Buenavista it seems an easy – going down ride but in only 60 km and 945 m of elevation gain you´ll have a challenging ride.

Once we arrive to San Alberto´s coffee farm we´ll walk among the coffee plantations, learn about the production of coffee in Colombia and taste some different methods. At the end of the day, we´ll be transferred back to the hotel.

SLEEP: Hotel Casa Du Velo – Filandia, Quindio

CYCLE: 60 km, 945 m

The final stage of the tour is as beautiful and challenging as the rest. We couldn’t leave the region without visiting Salento and the Cocora Valley where the oil palm tree is located along the mountains. A short 65 km ride but 1.940 m, to arrive to a final trek in these magic mountains.

Our cycling will end with a picnic in nature and we´ll transfer you back to the hotel to prepare for our farewell dinner.

CYCLE: 65 km, 1.940 m

Our trip comes to an end, in the morning the group will be transferred to Medellín for a last activity in the city of eternal spring. Since our cycling adventure has finished, we want to take you on a final short city tour. After 5 PM our team will be ready to take you to the airport to go back home.

Letras and the Coffee region from Bogotá

Welcome to Colombia! On this day we will gatheratthe hotel at 6:00 PM (local time) for ourwelcome dinner where you ́ll get to know your Colombian crew for the week and the rest ofthe group. This will be our “warm up ride” from “Alto la Tribuna” above 2.500 meters over sea level towards the Magdalena valley (500 meters above sea level). We are going to start our ride among the mountains of the Eastern side of the Colombian Andes mountain range with beautiful landscapes and even being a flat / descent ride will be challenging with some short hills.

Today´s highlights include Alto Viani (6,85 km, 500 m, 7,3% av) and some other short hilly ascents along the road. We will arrive at Honda, a small colonial and historical town of Colombia. You´ll also have the chance to pedal next to a great Colombian Cyclist and remember with him some of the triumphs of his career.

SLEEP: Hotel Boutique Las Trampas – Honda, Tolima

CYCLE: 120 km, 1.205 m

Even if it seems an easy flat ride: 115 km and only 900 m of elevation, our challenge today will be the heat and humidity. We will pedal along the Magdalena River between the central and east mountains of the Andes Range along the most important river of Colombia: El Magdalena. Once we go back to Honda, you´ll try some of the most exotic and unique fruits that this tropical country has to offer, you´ll have time to rest and relax before our queen stage next day.

Enjoy full ride support from our professional guide team & support vehicle. The ride support vehicle is stocked with natural ride nutrition, electrolytes and water, as well as a full set of tools to resolve mechanicals situations. During our cycling stages the support crew will serve a delicious picnic lunch on route. Enjoy local foods chosen to keep you feeling energized and healthy.

Our Everesting support team are experienced riders united by a love of cycling who’ll help to keep the group safe, motivated and enjoying the trip of a lifetime. All guests will receive access to a Road Book and routes, giving everyone the flexibility to ride at their own pace.

His bicycle took him back to Colombia after living in Brazil for over a year. On this trip, he got to meet, feel, and pedal the Cordillera de los Andes and its people.

Since then, he’s been working with tourism, and he’s very passionate about it. He is a super charismatic and friendly host. He has a great understanding of the needs of travelers, and he loves to share his knowledge about the places we will visit.

We rate our tours from Level 1 (Leisure) to Level 4 (Epic). Each tour contains a description of the level, expected daily ride time, distance and elevation. If you have any doubts we’re more that happy to speak to you on the phone and help to find you the perfect trip!

Insurance is not included in our tour packages. We highly recommend contracting travel insurance at the time of reservation with a company from where you are from.

Health insurance which covers you for illness or injury whilst cycling in your chosen destination is mandatory, we’ll ask you for details of your insurance providor before you travel.

Yes. We offer a flexible payment plan, allowing you to pay in three equal installments of 33% each.

Please note that payment in installments will incur an additional 10% fee.

All payments must be completed prior to the start of the event.
