Imke Abma – england
“My motto is ‘no one fights alone’”
In March, Imke Abma completed her first Everesting on Jebel Jais to raise awareness for children battling leukaemia.
73 reps of Jebel Jais. 310km. 9,399m of elevation in 26.5 hours. The ride was brutal. Long hours. Endless repeats. A test of mind and body. But for Imke, every pedal stroke carried purpose.
“My motto is ‘no one fights alone’”, she says.
It started when a friend asked her to ride *The Route* – the full Tour de France Femmes, one day ahead of the pros, in support of Cure Leukaemia. That ride opened the door to something bigger.
Since then, Imke’s been turning every ride into a fight that matters.
From solo climbs in the UAE to crossing the line at this year’s Le Tour de France Femmes, she’s now raised over £16,000 for Cure Leukaemia and the ATICUS Network – helping fund pioneering treatment for children with blood cancer.
“I couldn’t have done it without the amazing support of friends & family.”
Imke’s not just climbing for herself. She’s blazing a trail, fundraising and lighting the way for others to follow.
Massive kudos to you Imke.
