In the mountains above Innsbruck in Austria, Florian Döringer ran nine laps of the Seegrube, Nordkette climb to complete a full Everesting on foot in roughly 16 hours.

The climb is steep and short. Just over 3 km with more than 1,000 metres of elevation gain per lap. But this was far from a walk in the park.

“The sunrise at lap six was a huge mental boost, one of my favourite moments,” he reflects. But it didn’t last.

“By lap seven, fatigue set in hard and the last few laps were a true test of grit. The downhill sections were just as tough as the uphill,” Florian says.

He carried all his own supplies, refused outside help, making it a deeply personal and raw endurance test. “That made it even more meaningful to me,” he adds.

A huge congrats to Florian.
