Everesting Launches World’s First Digital Platform of Elevation Challenges

Everesting, the global endurance movement built around one of the world’s most iconic athletic challenges, today announced the launch of its new mobile app, creating the first digital platform built exclusively around elevation-based challenges and the athletes who love to climb.

Since its creation in 2014, Everesting has inspired more than 36,000 successful finishers across 125 countries to complete what many consider one of endurance sport’s ultimate tests: climbing the equivalent of Mount Everest’s 8,848 metres of elevation in a single activity by repeatedly ascending the same climb.

What began as a single, iconic endurance challenge has evolved into a global community united by a shared passion for climbing, endurance and personal achievement. Today, Everesting represents far more than one extraordinary accomplishment. It has become a symbol of resilience, commitment and self-improvement for hundreds of thousands of athletes around the world.

With the launch of its new digital platform, Everesting is opening the door to a much broader ecosystem of elevation-based challenges. While the original Everesting remains the pinnacle achievement, athletes can now pursue a wide variety of official challenges tailored to different abilities, time horizons and personal goals, all connected through a single digital experience.

The new app introduces an expanding catalogue of official challenges, including cumulative elevation goals completed over longer periods, shorter ascent targets, and special edition challenges inspired by iconic climbs, sporting events and endurance milestones. The platform is designed to make the Everesting journey more accessible without losing the spirit that has defined the movement from the beginning.

Alongside these new challenge formats, the app introduces a comprehensive set of community features, including global elevation rankings, twelve-month rolling leaderboards, country and age-group classifications, personal statistics, achievement badges, social comparisons with friends, and gamified progression designed to encourage long-term participation.

Rather than ending at the finish line of a single challenge, the new platform transforms Everesting into an ongoing journey where every climb contributes to personal progress and community recognition.
