New In: The Lush Green Jersey

Celebrating the birthplace of Everesting

The Lush Green Jersey is inspired by the dripping-wet cool-temperate rainforest of Melbourne’s Mt. Donna Buang, home of (at the time!) the first activity we now refer to as Everesting – all the way back in 1994.

Situated just over an hour from the city, this iconic mountain forms part of the southernmost tip of Australia’s Great Dividing Range, and as such, is a playground for cyclists, runners, and hikers (and back in the day – skiers too!)

If I’m ever hosting friends from overseas, this is high on my list of places to bring people. It’s one of my favourite places on earth. The unpaved back road of Donna Buang is closed to vehicles for 6 months of the year, and makes for a challenging and rewarding climb.

But the highlight of the ride is the dense lush green ferns, moss-covered granite, and winter flowers – all adding to the sense of travelling through a land before time.

It’s a quiet place. The type of setting that absorbs your attention, and draws you in, making you feel one with the landscape.

Everesting has grown into a global movement, but it all began on a quiet mountain just outside Melbourne. That story lives on in this jersey.

It’s a way of honouring where we came from and inviting others to carry that origin story forward. It’s a tribute to where it all began. And maybe, just maybe, it’ll inspire your next big idea too.
